At the foot of the Château’s façades, overlooking the gardens, lie three grand open spaces: the North Parterre, the Southern Parterre, and the Water Parterre.

The west-facing Water Parterre and Terrace mark the start of the Grande Perspective, which is listed as UNESCO World Heritage, since 1979. Their proximity to the palace allows for a combined use of indoor and outdoor spaces.
